LEADER: Amal (Alexander Blazic) experienced impermanence in his early years, which drove him to seek spiritual attainment.
His first contact was with Taoism and Taoist meditation, at the end of his
school time. At the end of his college time, he had a crucial experience with a buddhist layman during a stay for several months in China.
He then started studying the hinayana-suttas, esp. the ones addressed to laymen, but
was later more attracted by the mahayana-sutras.
He followed his former dharma teacher Shi Yan Cheng (Curtis C. Dittrich)
and took refuge with the triple Jewel at the Shaolin Temple in Berlin in 2006.
Shortly after that his dharma teacher left Germany to become a monk in China.
He continued with his Chan and Pure Land practices and sutra studies on his own.
In 2008 his inner voice directed him to come to America and take the four jewel refuge with Ven. Zhaxi Zhuoma Rinpoche.

MISSION: "My wish is to make the discourses and teachings of H. H. Dorje Chang Buddha III available to the people outside Asia and the US. I would like to make the Xuanfa Dharma Centers in Germany and Europe an established institution, which will spread the true buddha dharma and benefit all."
