The Xuanfa Utah Dharma Center of Salt Lake City
LEADER: Gesang Suolang Rinpoche (Margaret Esterman) has a background in book publishing, co-owning and operating a small press publishing company with her husband for more than thirty years. Due to the virtue and merit of her husband, Mark Esterman, she was able to encounter the Buddha-dharma in the mid-1990’s when she met her husband’s teacher Seikan Hasegawa Zenji, a Master of the Rinzai School of Zen Buddhism. She received priest ordination from Seikan Zenji in 1998. From Seikan Zenji she learned how to practice “patience under insult” through valuable lessons that have helped her live with more joy and compassion. She later studied with Genpo Merzel Roshi, a Soto Zen Master. While studying with Genpo Roshi she learned about the empty nature of the self and also the practice of Zen meditation. Working with Genpo Roshi helped her untie many personality knots that had been obstacles to her progress.
In August of 2008 Prema attended a lecture by Ven. Zhaxi Zhuoma Rinpoche on the book H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, A Treasury of True Dharma and developed an interest in the Esoteric Dharma. In Taos, New Mexico she heard Ven. Zhaxi Zhuoma Rinpoche read a Discourse by H.H Dorje Chang Buddha III and was struck by the brilliance and power of this Buddha's teachings. Since then she has availed herself of many opportunities to hear these profound Dharma Discourses. In December of 2009 Prema took refuge with Ven. Zhaxi Zhuoma Rinpoche. She is both delighted and honored to be able to offer others the opportunity to listen to the recorded Discourses at The Xuanfa Dharma Center of Utah in Salt Lake City.

This is the authentic Buddha Dharma of Shakyamuni Buddha as expounded by a great Chinese Esoteric Master who now lives in America.
