Couplets by His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III Wan Ko Yeshe Norbu
Hua Zang Gate
ben si yi zang deng miao lian wan shou ke pan
zheng fa feng lu qu sheng zong yun tui ji xian
The first line of the couplet by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Wan Ko Yeshe Norbu is “ben si yi zang deng miao lian wan shou ke pan.” There is a dharma method of the Pure Land School by which one takes rebirth in the Western Paradise of Ultimate Bliss. One can master such a dharma method most quickly and effectively at Hua Zang Si. Our temple is based upon the authentic teachings of Buddhism as written in the Tripitaka and esoteric scriptures. Thus, it is an easy matter for those at Hua Zang Si to take rebirth in the Pure Land (the Western Paradise), where they will ascend to a lotus pedestal.
The second line of the couplet is “zheng fa feng lu qu sheng zong yun tui ji xian.” The correct dharma of our temple is the holy and truthful Buddha-dharma, which one can obtain by using the precepts as one's guide. One is able to abide by the correct dharma as long as one learns the dharma at our temple. Our temple emphasizes the precepts and the disciplines. The precepts are our master or guide. The precepts are the foundation of our practice. Those who follow the precepts will naturally be able to learn great dharma methods. Thus, they will be able to penetrate the holy truth, transcend the mundane and enter saintliness, and obtain supernatural powers. Of course, they will be able to attain liberation from the cycle of reincarnation.
