Hua Zang Si (Temple) is located in the Mission District in San Francisco on Twenty-second Street near the Mission Street BART station. Hua Zang Temple opened December 26, 2004. Services and teachings are conducted in Chinese with some English translation available. This dharma center is headed by Master Shannon Pattillo and does offer classes in English.
Macang Monastery (formerly known as the Temple of Good Fortune and Wisdom or Fu Hui Si and pictured to the right) is located at 1822 Eddy Street, San Francisco, California 94115. The temple opened March 18, 2006. Hsi-Jao Ken-Teng Palden Lodoe, a disciple of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, is Dharma King of this temple. Dharma King Palden Lodoe has been recognized by Khenchen Rinpoche as the true incarnation of Venerable Hsi Jao Seng Ge, who was the founder of the Macang Sect.
Bodhi Monastery represents a group of Chinese-speaking nuns dedicated to the practice and teaching of the correct dharma. Their main temple is at 6449 Berwickshire Way, San Jose, CA 95120, PHONE: (408) 323-9966. They also have facilities at other locations.
