Outer Tantra Initiations

Disciple encounters an opportunity to see the expression.  The Buddhas, bodhisattvas, and dharma protecting deities do not personally come to the mandala. Includes 1) The Disciple Entry Initiation, 2) the Five Dhyani Buddha Initiation, 3) The Kusuma-mala (wreath) Initiation, and 4) The Acarya Initiation.

Liberation possible in 3, 7, or 16 lifetimes.

Inner Tantra Initiations

Disciple witnesses the supernatural power in the mandala as the expression of vision. The Buddhas, bodhisattvas, and dharma protecting deities personally come to the mandala to view the disciple’s underlying causes and conditions and reduce the negative karma of the disciple.  If the initiation is successful, the protecting deities guard the disciple and help remove demonic barriers. Includes 1) The Vajra Samaya Initiation, 2) The Auspicious Selection Initiation, 3) The Dharma Wheel Saints Communicable Initiation, 4) The Buddha Bestowed Nectar Initiation.

Liberation possible in current lifetime.

Supreme Secret or Holy Tantra Initiations

Disciple witnesses the supernatural power in the mandala as the expression of the true realm. Similar to Inner Tantra Initiations only superior due to practitioner’s superb affinity with the Buddhas. Includes 1) The Petition Selection initiation, 2) The Dharma-Reed-Person-Selection initiation, and 3) The Buddha Bestowed Nectar Initiation. This is a very rare type of initiation with very few vajra masters having the level of realization to perform.

Will become a Buddha in this lifetime and will be declared such at the right time.
