Shiimsa
Shiimsa is an Anishinaabe (Ojibwe) word for little animal friend. She is the official watch cat for Xuanfa, a position she reluctantly shares with Bao Yi and Bao Yi's mother Hua Yi.

The Xuanfa Institute

The Xuanfa Institute is a nonprofit, international organization founded by Ven. Zhaxi Zhuoma Rinpoche to propagate the correct Buddha-dharma as taught by Shakyamuni Buddha and H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III that can liberate living beings from the sufferings of this world and enable those who practice this Buddha-dharma and cultivate themselves in accord with the dharma to realize the good fortune and wisdom needed to become a Buddha. Dorje Chang Buddha manifested in another world as Dipamkara Buddha to teach Shakyamuni Buddha the Dharma, but Shakyamuni did not teach all that He learned when He was in this world 2,500 years ago. People living at that time were not ready to receive it.

H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III came to this world to correct the errors and omissions that have resulted from incorrect translations and transmissions made by patriarch translators that have happened since the time of Shakyamuni Buddha and to transmit dharma that is appropriate for our age and time. Ven. Zhaxi Zhuoma Rinpoche is a close disciple of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and personally transmits these great dharmas that are suitable for our times.

“Xuanfa” means to propagate the dharma. The Xuanfa Institute has developed an international network of affiliated dharma centers, institutes, temples, and retreat centers where people can learn and practice the correct dharma. Rinpoche serves as spiritual advisor to these facilities.

Plans are underway to establish a long-term retreat facility at the Institute where practitioners can come and stay for extended periods of time and learn and practice the correct esoteric dharma of The Supreme and Unsurpassable Mahamudra of Liberation.
