Acomplishments
Common accomplishments can be simply supernormal powers. However, in this context, the word accomplishment oftens refers to enlightenment, the supreme accomplishment, namely, liberation from the cycle of reincarnation and complete deliverance according to the mahayana point of view. Dorje Pa Mu gives several reasons for not becoming accomplished: Knowing true Buddha-dharma principles, yet not following them; hearing true Buddha-dharma principles, yet not contemplating and internalizing them; understanding Buddha-dharma principles, yet not practicing them; coming into contact with the Buddha-dharma, yet not abiding by it; reading writings on the Buddha-dharma, yet not practicing the contents of such writings; and seeing what is good, yet not following the good, but rushing toward evil ways.
